You are hearing more and more questions in your store from customers who want to know if you also accept empty ink cartridges. Whether you’re a floor manager in a large branch or have your own shop, you can see that the demand for returning and reusing empty ink cartridges keeps growing. Recoll helps large chains and independent retailers respond to that demand they are hearing among their customers. Our collection boxes have been in stores in the Netherlands, Belgium, France and Germany since 1993. In the early years, that was really pioneering. We now know from experience that offering a physical collection option quickly increases the number of empty cartridges that are returned to your store.
How does it work?
In addition to the trusted collection method – the cardboard box – Recoll has developed even more return options. Each has its own benefits and special features. From an interactive collection station to collection bags enclosed with the customer’s order.
Classic collection box
Recoll supplies (personalized) collection boxes in various designs. Each with its own look. You can place the collection box in the store in no time. The customer can then hand in their empty ink cartridge here. This way of collecting is ideal for relatively quiet shops where you have a good overview. It gives you the opportunity to speak to and advise a customer who has returned a cartridge.
Interactive collection station
Recoll has developed an interactive collection station for larger stores or for branches with less store staff per customer. The station invites customers to return their empty cartridges and offers a digital assistant that helps them select the right cartridges. This has resulted in a significant increase in the number of cartridges returned. In addition, the cartridges are safely stored inside the return station.
Collection bag with purchase
Encourage customers to come back to your store by giving them a collection bag each time they buy a cartridge. As soon as the customer has exchanged the cartridges at home, you motivate the customer to come back later to return the empty cartridge.
How much will I earn?
You’ll receive a reference list from us showing exactly which cartridges are suitable for collection. Of course, this list also includes what compensation you receive for each cartridge. Invest this new income any way you like. Some stores share the reward with their customers, for example as a discount on their next purchase. Others donate it to charity. There are also stores that keep the full amount for themselves to spend as they see fit.
